Traps alone don't work if the entry points stay open — our Mayfield, KY crew seals the building envelope while removing what's already inside. Rodents also gnaw on electrical wiring, which turns a nuisance problem into a genuine fire-safety concern if it goes unaddressed.
Rodent control here means construction-grade exclusion: hardware cloth, sealant, and door sweeps, applied by trained techs.
We route technicians fast when a Mayfield, KY customer reports fresh droppings, gnawing, or attic noise — those signs mean the population is active now.
The inspection determines a fixed price for trapping and exclusion work before anything is installed.
Our trucks stock exclusion-grade hardware cloth, rodent-proof sealant, and attic sanitizing agents, not just consumer traps. We also photograph every sealed entry point before and after, giving you documentation of the exclusion work performed.
Norway rats burrow at grade, so we focus on foundation perimeters, deck footings, and crawl space vents.
Roof rats travel via power lines and tree branches into attics — we seal roofline gaps, vents, and eaves specifically.
Mouse control centers on finding every small gap, since a single unsealed opening undoes the whole job.
Rodent droppings and urine-soaked insulation get removed and the space sanitized once trapping is complete.
Exclusion work means permanent barriers — not just trap removal — so rodents can't simply come back through the same gap.
Scheduled monitoring and bait station servicing for property managers needing ongoing compliance documentation.
Tell dispatch where you're hearing activity — attic, walls, or kitchen — and whether you've seen droppings or gnaw marks.
We show up prepared to both trap and seal, so there's no separate follow-up trip just to bring supplies.
We trace droppings, gnaw marks, and grease trails back to the entry point, then map every gap needing exclusion work.
You get trapping, exclusion, and a documented follow-up — not just traps left behind with no return visit.
We'd tried store-bought traps for months. The technician found the actual gap under our deck ledger board in twenty minutes.

Coverage across Mayfield and the surrounding Mayfield, KY area includes priority routing for properties bordering fields, woodlots, or older housing stock. Properties in Mayfield near open fields or construction sites tend to see rodent pressure spike seasonally, so we plan technician routes with that pattern in mind.
Gnaw marks, dropping size, and even the sound of movement in walls all help distinguish rats from mice — the technician will confirm on inspection.
Exclusion is the permanent fix — trapping without sealing just clears the current population while leaving the door open for the next one.
Dry sweeping droppings can release airborne particles; it's safer to let the crew handle cleanup with the right protective equipment.
Most single-family homes take one visit for trapping and sealing, with a follow-up 1-2 weeks later to confirm no new activity.
Snap traps and sealing come first; bait stations are reserved for specific situations like commercial perimeter control.
Accessible food sources, standing water, cluttered storage, and unsealed foundation gaps are the most common draws. We often recommend homeowners do a seasonal walk-around of the foundation, since new gaps can open up after freeze-thaw cycles.
